HiHonor Managing Partner Xinwei Zhao attended ICMA XXIII conference held in Singapore from 23 to 27 March 2026, and served as a Co-Author of the paper Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards in China: Practice and Trends. The paper was excellently presented by Lanny Li; her presentation sparked lively interactive discussions and drew thoughtful questions from the audience.

The conference featured a diverse range of in-depth, insightful topics. Highlights included international sanctions, dark fleets and their impacts on maritime arbitration and charter parties, electronic bills of lading, a plenary industry session on pro bono practice and environmental initiatives, as well as an introduction to Tuas Port Singapores next-generation port and advanced marine ecosystem.

Gratitude is extended to the organizer SCMA for arranging a guided harbor tour to the Sister Islands and Saint John Island. The tour enabled participants to gain deeper insights into Singapores position as the worlds largest bunker port, its modernized port infrastructure, and its forward-looking vision in building a garden city nation. It also showcased the countrys consistent commitment to maintaining harmony and a balanced, sustainable marine ecological environment.

The participation in the conference has further deepened exchanges between our firm and experts and peers in the maritime arbitration field both at home and abroad. It has not only enhanced interaction with senior industry professionals but also expanded connections with outstanding young practitioners, laying a good foundation for future professional cooperation and business development.
